'Tis the Season

January 30, 2012 - Larry Claypool
'Tis the Season. It's time for those winter wild game dinners — hosted by your neighborhood church. Last Saturday I was invited to speak at the Damascus Friends Church in Damascus, OH. What a nice, BIG church, and some great people. Thank you for inviting me. The food was very good too. Lots of wild game was offered. The most unusual dish for me was the beaver stew. That was a first for me, as was the goose bbq sandwiches. Mmmmm! About 160 people attended this dinner. The Sports and Fitness Group at the church has sponsored the wild game dinners for the past seven years. Do you have a long-standing wild game dinner in your area? Send me some information about the event and how long it has been running. And tell me what your favorite wild game dishes have been over the years.
