Look for the new and improved Ohio Valley Outdoors magazine in your mailbox or retailer soon. Hot off the press is the July/Aug 2009 edition of OVO, which has a new look. It’s smaller and slicker looking, but still has the same great content that it’s known for. The first edition of the new, improved version was mailed to subscribers on June 29 and started hitting newsstands July 1. Since its inception, in 2001, the magazine has been printed, at least partially, on newsprint paper. The ability to upgrade to enamel (glossy) pages throughout has been our goal for some time. That change did come with a price. The overall size had to be reduced, which is not a bad thing, it’s just different. We hope you agree with us that the regular-size magazine looks great and is easier to handle, read and display for our retail dealers. We’re able to make this change because of new printing technologies that can offer the ‘glossy’ look we want and still take advantage of the ‘Think Green’ movement.
