Fur Trading Should Improve in 2011

January 19, 2011
By Larry Claypool, OVO Editor
The overall word for the 2011 wild fur trade is: optimism. According to North American Fur Auctions, and other fur trade organizations, fur trade for this year looks promising. That would be a marked improvement over last year.

The optimism follows brisk sales that took place in October and November of 2010. In fact NAFA — one of the largest fur auction houses in the world — essentially sold out of all major articles by year’s end. The boost in sales was mostly due to customers in China.
