OVO’s Radio Show Honored

May 29, 2013
Ohio Valley Outdoors

PUT-IN-BAY, OH - Ohio Valley Outdoors Radio Show host Larry Claypool won Special Recognition from the Outdoor Writers of Ohio during its 2012 awards ceremony, held May 4 in Put-In-Bay, OH. The recognition came in the Best Radio Show category. The awards were presented during the OWO Annual Spring Conference. The co-hosts for the show were John Csizmadia and Bill Waugaman.

No others entries were received in the Best Radio Show category, so according to the rules, no top awards were given. However, judges felt the entry was worthy of recognition. Unfortunately the OVO Radio Show, which aired on ESPN 1240 and WSOM 640, was cancelled in July of 2012.

Claypool previously was honored by the OWO (2008) with it's "Outstanding Media Achievement" award for OVO.
