Public Presentation Focusing on Northeast Ohio Black Bears

BOARDMAN, OH - Are you interested in learning more about black bear activity in northeast Ohio? Ohio's largest mammal spends a great deal of time in the spotlight during our summer months. Join Division of Wildlife experts to learn more about these fascinating creatures at an informative public program on Thursday, April 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The program will take place at the Lariccia Family Community Center in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road.

Topics to be covered include bear biology, ecology, life history information, population trends and current status, management, and what to do if you encounter a black bear.

This program is best suited for ages 16 and up. The program is free but pre-registration is required as seating is limited. Call Bryan Kay, Ohio Division of Wildlife, District Three headquarters at (330) 245-3026.
