The event, normally held the second Saturday in August, was sponsored by the Columbiana County Conservation Partners, which includes; Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center, Columbiana County Federation of Sportsman's Clubs, Columbiana County Soil and Conservation District, Columbiana County Park District, Advisory Council of the Little Beaver Creek Wildlife and Scenic River Advisory Council, according to Tom Butch, one of the organizers.
