Free Fishing Day in PA's Goddard State Park

MEADVILLE, PA Are you looking for a great way to connect with your family? Discover how much fun fishing can be when you do it together at a PA Fish and Boat Commission Family Fishing Program. The Commission will conduct a Family Fishing Program sponsored by DCNR: Goddard State Park at the Marina Pavilion on August 5, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Families will learn about different types of fishing ethics, gear and knots. Practice casting is included. Those completing the basic skills session will have the opportunity to go fishing. No fishing license is required during the program and all equipment and bait is provided. The only "catch" is that adults must bring a child and children must bring an adult. You'll be learning and fishing together. Participants must be eight years of age and older. The program will be held rain or shine so please dress for the weather.

Online reservations are required for this event. Please register online at www.fishandboat.com. Click on Calendar of Events at the bottom of the Upcoming Events column and follow the directions. Those without access to the internet can contact the PFBC's Regional Education Specialist at 814-683-5126. The registration deadline is August 4, 2016.
