| Latest Post: Started By: Rank: Category Where are some good locationsLet's use this thread to talk about where there some good fishing locations along the Ohio River Member CommentsoubegoodDudes was just down the newcumbland locks the fishing was good we caught lots of stripers and saugers as well as 18 -20 inch walleye . simple go down 11 to east liver pool go across the newell bridge. past mountaineer race track about 1mile on right hand side is a small parking lot then walk down the railroad tracks to the locks .it a 1/4 mile walk but the fishing was worth it . we used creek chubs and on a boober against the locks for the stripers and bottom fished for the saugers and eyes . oh yea bring a basket or a net with at least 30 ft of rope to lower down to get your fish up the wall . or go down and cast jigs for walleye s we were doing that and honestly catching them like that . It's a good time and now it the time to do it . TheARTmanThe backwaters behind the Willow Island Lock seems to be a great place. It was made deeper when the structure went in so there is still some trees and things that provide hiding places.
